T he Niantic River Watershed has two active subcommittees dedicated to sampling water quality and spreading the word.
The Water Quality Subcommittee oversees monthly water quality testing in tributaries throughout the Niantic River watershed, summertime stream corridor assessments and fall aquatic macro-invertebrate surveys. See our Water Quality Monitoring page for more details about these activities.
The Education & Outreach Subcommittee is busy year ’round talking up the watershed and encourages residents to do their part to protect water quality. Learn more about NRWC outreach and education activities at the Outreach and Education page.
